I WORK WITH WOMEN WHO…

  • Look like they have it all together on the outside, but inside they’re anxious, second-guessing every decision, and exhausted.

  • Have trouble saying no, feel guilty when they try, and end up doing more than their fair share in relationships.

  • Keep choosing partners who can’t meet them emotionally, or feel stuck in family dynamics that drain them.

  • Are in their 30s and beyond, wondering why life doesn’t look or feel the way they thought it would by now.

  • Live with the unspoken expectations that come with being a Black woman—to keep going, keep giving, and do it all without showing vulnerability.

  • Have been in therapy before, but left feeling like nothing really changed—and want something deeper this time.

My approach

Together, we’ll go beyond insight and start creating change you can actually feel.

In my 25+ years as a therapist, I’ve noticed that a lot of women come to me knowing exactly why they feel the way they do, but still don’t know how to break out of the patterns they’re stuck in. Understanding is important, but it’s not enough on its own. In our work, we don’t just talk about the problem—we slow down, pay attention to the parts of you that have been ignored, and find practical ways to make changes in your day-to-day life. My goal is to help you move from knowing what’s wrong to finally experiencing what it’s like to feel different.

I believe…

  • And that means therapy with me isn’t passive—we’ll roll up our sleeves together. My job isn’t to sit back and nod while you vent about your week. I’ll always listen without judgment, but I’ll also call you in when I can tell you’re avoiding something. If you’re ready to make progress more quickly, we can talk about meeting more than once per week, extending to 90-minute sessions, or starting an intensive program together.

  • That includes the anxious part, the guilty part, and the part that feels like “too much,” because they all play a role in our work and your life. Instead of trying to shut those pieces of you down, we’ll listen to what they’re trying to tell you. When every part of you feels acknowledged, it becomes easier to let the best version of you take the lead.

  • I don’t see you as broken or in need of fixing. I want to help you uncover the strengths and wisdom that are already there, even if they’ve been buried under years of self-doubt or obligation. Together, we’ll learn how you can start seeing yourself in a new, more compassionate light.

  • You have my full permission to show up to our sessions as you are, with whatever you’re really feeling—you don’t have to pretend to be “fine” for me. This is an inclusive, affirming space for people of all identities and cultural backgrounds. If you ever feel judged, dismissed, or unsure, I encourage you to bring it up to me so we can repair it together. Feeling safe doesn’t mean I won’t challenge you. It means we’ll face the hard stuff together, knowing we can be honest with each other along the way.
